Service Oriented Architectures

For automatised communication between company and organisation service oriented architectures have become a quasi industry standard. Technologies and products of major platform manufacturers like IBM, SAP, Software AG and Microsoft set the benchmark for future communication.

From our point of view business applications must provide the following standards:

• Derivation and integration in business processes, enablement to monitor business processes ad hoc during runtime

• Online service governance anytime, monitoring, utilizing and charging of services use

• Model based production of user applications, so called composite applications

By now, early 2010, the major players still have to improve their process platforms or business systems significantly.

Within the scope of our research, we utilise platforms and tools of IBM and SAP. Both our partners welcome our tests and improvement ideas.
